CMYUK has appointed Emily Falconer to the position of Textile Business Development Manager for its Décor and Fashion range of digital ready fabrics. The appointment further strengthens CMYUK’s rapid ascendency in these specialist high growth market areas.

With a strong design background, underpinned by solid technical prowess, Emily joins CMYUK from Premier Textiles, where her last role during her six-year tenure was Business Development Manager.

Emily brings a considerable amount of experience to her new CMYUK role.  In her last position she worked heavily in product development collaborating very closely with mills and suppliers for the formation of new materials.

She has also worked in partnership with printer manufacturers to render the best results for textiles and fabrics on various print technologies and ink-sets.

Emily led the development in fabric engineering for the DuraVibe brand of fabrics designed specifically for use with HP Latex ink technology. Earlier career experience also involved launching a fashion fabric range designed for multiple digital printing processes including reactive, pigment and sublimation.

Emily will work with all departments within CMYUK to develop new Décor and Fashion textile ranges and reports directly to Michael Crook, Business Development Director (consumables).

“I am excited to join CMYUK and I have a real passion for textiles,” she said.  “I like the fact that the company offers full solutions to its customers and has a genuine partnership model of service. Over recent years I have seen how the market for digitally printed textiles has grown, with more customers from non-traditional sectors investing in this technology. CMYUK is one of the very few organisations with the combined knowledge of extensive production equipment and materials expertise. I am pleased to be part of this.”

Mick Crook, Business Development Director, CMYUK said, “We have a dedicated, enthusiastic, high-calibre team and Emily is a perfect fit. We’re delighted that she has joined us, and I’m sure she will make an instant impact. We’re committed to these new growth markets, and it’s a very exciting time for the company.”
