Mimaki Tx300P-1800 MkII Direct-To-Textile Printer

Combining direct textile printing and paper transfer processes into a single printer

Mimaki Tx300P-1800 MkII Direct-To-Textile Printer

The Tx300P-1800 MKII is all about versatility. It combines direct textile printing and paper transfer processes into a single printer. It utilises a unique hybrid technology that combines multiple inks for direct and transfer printing with interchangeable print platens. It can handle the widest range of printed textile applications from fashion and apparel to interiors and décor, soft signage, flags, retail POS, and more.  It is also ideal for sampling, short-run and on-demand printing.

This hybrid printer offers the ability to install three different inkset combinations: dye sublimation ink (transfer) textile pigment ink, direct sublimation ink textile pigment ink, or dye sublimation ink (transfer) direct sublimation ink.

The ability to print to transfer paper significantly augments a business’ commercial reach with the introduction of new materials for extended and diverse applications from fashion fabrics through to décor and interiors.

By swopping platens, soft signage, flags and retail POS can be output from the same printer. The Mimaki Tx 300P-1800 MkII is also an ideal all-round solution for sampling, short-run, and on-demand printing.

*1.  As with conventional models, it is possible to load only one ink.
**2: The combination of “Dye sublimation ink (transfer) Direct sublimation ink" is to be supported later.

  • Interchangeable platens support direct to fabric and transfer paper
Platens can be replaced easily without the need of a service engineer.

  • High-performance RIP software TxLink4 Lite*

The TxLink4 Lite* offers simple RGB and CMYK colour replacement on raster and vector data, plus the ability to produce different colour patterns. Moreover, various colour replacement functions can represent desired colours.

* TxLink4 Lite or RasterLink6Plus is bundled according to user choice.

One way ink set (single loaded ink type)

  • Versatile ink for direct printing
  • Four colours for high productivity, six/seven/eight colours* for superior expressive detail.
*Only 8 colour ink set is available for reactive dye Rc400/Rc500.

Rich variety of ink types in One Way for all printing applications

Mimaki offers five ink types – sublimation, dispersant, pigment, reactive, and acid- to meet a wide variety of applications including apparel and fashion, decorative home interiors, car seats, soft signage, and specialist printing such as silk.

Print speed

The Tx300P-1800 MkII offers various printing modes, from draft* that operates at a maximum speed of 66 m2 per hour to high-quality printing mode.
* DD400, TP400, Rc400/500, Ac400 inks cannot print in draft mode.

Hybrid ink set (two types of inks can be loaded simultaneously).

  • Handles two ink types.
  • Outputs to paper and textile.
  • Allows the utilisation of existing production equipment such as a heat press to create printed fabrics.

Service engineers are no longer needed!

  • Platens can be switched to match textile and paper processing.
  • High-quality printing can be easily achieved by simply changing the conveyance route for textiles and paper.

Hybrid versatile ink combinations

  • Three ink combinations are available for a variable range of applications such as soft signage, wallcoverings, display graphics, sports and fashion apparel.

New printheads for ultimate materials versatility

This printer is designed to work with a variety of textiles including raised fibre surfaces. To handle this type of printing, a high head gap setting is needed. Historically, gap conditions reduce the accuracy of ink drop placement. However, the new printhead is able to ejects ink droplets at a high-speed maintaining the straightness of the droplet direction for accurate placement. This ensures high-quality output for napped or thick textiles.

Reliable textile feeding for stability

Stable textile feeding and transportation are vital for direct textile printing. The tension applied to the textile during printing is varied due to changes in the outer diameter of the front and rear rolls. The Tx300P-1800 MKII monitors the applied tension and uniformly applies the optimum tension utilising the front and rear tension bars. This ensures that high-quality printing is achieved during high-speed printing or when using large textile rolls.

Mimaki Advanced Pass System 4 (MAPS4) reduces banding

MAPS4 is Mimaki’s latest unique anti-banding technique. It overprints swath boundaries, while boundaries prone to banding are printed with fewer ink droplets.

Superior inkjet technology

Mimaki’s superior inkjet technology accurately places the ink droplets without losing their perfect circularity to establish clear sharp text, lines, and edges.

Continuous operation support for minimal downtime

The Nozzle Check Unit (NCU) detects non-functioning nozzles and automatically cleans them. If the nozzles fail to operate after cleaning, they are compensated by non-defective ones.  This feature enables uninterrupted print operations and continuous productivity until support arrives.

Long-time continuous printing

  • Large two-litre ink packs are installed in MBIS3*1 for long-time continuous printing that supports reduced operating costs.
  • Once one ink container is spent, UISS*2 automatically provides ink from another container without any interruption to printing.
  • These systems administer ink ceaselessly for assured unattended continuous printing.
