One year in with its CMYUK supplied Mimaki Grand-format machine, Infinity Colour looks set to expand.

When Dave Clarke and Nigel Westlake decided to take their many years of combined digital printing experience and set-up their own company, Infinity Colour in Bicester, they turned to CMYUK to supply them with the engine with which to power their business.

Infinity invested in the all-new Mimaki UJV 55-320, a grand-format LED UV inkjet printer which delivers a unique combination of high-quality, super wide output for volume production of banners, retail, exhibition and window graphics and other similar applications up to 3.2m wide, with the added versatility of twin-roll simultaneous printing.

“It has proven to be a great investment,” says Clarke. “ We wish to thank CMYUK for all their help prior to the purchase and continuing through our first year.”

“The Mimaki gives stunning print quality, and our first large set of prints for Lotus looked fantastic,” says Westlake.

Infinity has printed and installed a number of high profile jobs in the course of its first year including Jeep and Fiat Professional for the Caravan Show at the NEC, Jeep for Crufts, the World’s greatest dog show Crufts, Fiat, Arbarth and Playstation.

Possibly Infinity’s most impressive job this year has been printing and installation for Alfa Romeo at Westfield Shopping Centre using a beMatrix modular stand building system complete with walls and ceiling. Installation was made overnight and the whole display was in situ for a fortnight.

“We are now looking to extend our customer base,” said Clarke,” but would like to thank Modex, Noble, Circle, Lodestar Provision, Priority and Lotus.”

“We pride ourselves on quality colour reproduction and have the ability to print stitch and cut vinyl,” said Westlake. “We are looking to grow and have further purchases planned,” he added.

CMYUK’s managing director Robin East said, Infinity has got off to a great start and the quality, speed of the Mimaki has been just what was needed in its first year.  We know we’re dealing with a hugely ambitious company, and we look forward to advising it as it moves into the next phase of its business development.”
